Teaching NZSL

Teaching NZSL can be a very rewarding career to lead, whether it be a part-time job or a full-time profession. Nowadays there are a huge demand for learning NZSL, and we are in fact, experiencing a shortage of tutors. Deaf or hearing individuals with fluency in NZSL and a passion to share this beautiful language might consider teaching NZSL. This kind of job is enjoyable, especially when you think about it: You can talk as much as you want about NZSL and meet new people and best of all, get paid doing it.

Now, if you're new at this all - you might wonder "where do I start" or "how do I teach" - go no further. NZSLTA is an organisation for individuals supporting or involved in NZSL teaching. Ask us. We'll gladly explain, show you a couple of pointers, and see you grow.
