9th National Conference Update
This conference was held on 6th to 8th July 2006 at Kelston Deaf Education Centre in Auckland. The theme was "Teaching NZSL: The Modern Way". We had exciting guest speakers lined up which included Francis Elton from UK and Brian Malzkuhn from the USA. If you would like further information about this conference, click on programme at top of this page. The next conference will in be middle of 2008 so stay tuned!
NZSLTA Storyfest
Our renowed NZSL Storytelling Competition, which accompanied the 9th NZSLTA National Conference was a roaring success!
The winner was Shaun Fahey (Christchurch) who told a hilarious story. Second place was awarded to Nirvana May (Dunedin) and third place to Darryl Alexander (Wellington). Many thanks to our sponsors. $1,000 worth of prizes were won! So people, start thinking of a fantastic story for Storyfest 2008!
