**New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) is a 10 week, certified course.  The fee is $95 which includes 20 hours tuition by NZSLTA registered tutors; examination and certificate.

This is an interactive, practical and visual course designed to give learners an opportunity to gain the skills of basic sign language and to promote and develop and understanding of Deaf culture in the New Zealand context. NZSL Teachers Association workbooks and resources will provide much of the content for this course, and it is therefore necessary for learners to purchase the Unit 1-6 workbooks/DVD. They can be ordered through this website prior to the course. Please note: In order to gain NZSL Certification, learners will be expected to attend at least 80% of the course.
